Ruling

Real Property/Housing Court Law and Motion Calendar for July 28, 2025. Line 2. PLAINTIFF JENNIFER SARKANY, RAMSEY ABOUREMELEH, SANDRA FIERRO, NINA ROBIN Notice Of Motion And Motion For Attorneys Fees Against Defendants Christie Barrett West, Timothy Mccall West, Thomas William West is GRANTED, subject to the modifications below.

Plaintiff is entitled to attorney fees because this lawsuit was a reasonable and necessary cost of enforcing the judgment in the 2018 case. The Court reduces Mr. Hooshmand's hourly rate to $720 an hour and Mr. Swanson's rate to $200 an hour. The Court also adopts a 1.3x multiplier, given Plaintiff's counsel's skill in navigating the case, the novelty and difficulty of the issues presented, and the preclusive effect the case has had on counsel's work on other cases. In total, Plaintiff is entitled to $256,087 in attorney fees.(501/CFH)
