FRANCISCO SANTIAGO T. TROY OTUS JOSE SEGURA IVAN F. HIGUERA

Motion to be Relieved as Counsel

TENTATIVE RULING:

T. Troy Otus’s Motion to Be Relieved as Counsel is DENIED without prejudice.

“The notice of motion and motion, the declaration, and the proposed order must be served on the client and on all other parties who have appeared in the case.” (Cal. Rules of Court, rule 3.1362(d).) Otus has not suppllied sufficient proof that plaintiff Francisco Santiago was served notice of the correct hearing date of May 20, 2026, nor that defendant Jose Segura was served the declaration or proposed order. Accordingly, the motion is denied without prejudice to a renewed motion properly noticed and served.

If the tentative ruling is uncontested, it shall become the order of the court.
