Grounds / reasons
The building has wildly inconsistent temperatures. a handful of residents say their units are too cold (possibly from poor insulation), but most of us are dealing with the opposite: it's way too hot. my unit sits at 78-82 degrees every single day, which is pretty unbearable. if i touch certain spots on my wall, they are hot to the touch from the boiler pipes.the building dates back to 1950 and has a mixed heating system. some units have radiators tied to the central boiler, while others like mine have electric heaters we control and pay for directly. the residents who have complained the building is too cold have radiators, and they are pushing to keep the boiler running constantly to stay warm. naturally, they don't want to switch to electric heat since they'd have to cover the cost themselves. this means the entire building gets overheated to accommodate those units, leaving the rest of us uncomfortably hot.Active
