The motion to set aside two orders granting plaintiffs' motion for charging order and appointment of receiver is denied. Code of Civil Procedure, sec. 780.320, subdivision (a) states: " A lien on a judgment debtor's interest in a partnership or limited liability company is created by service of a notice of motion for a charging order on the judgment debtor and on either of the following: [] (1) All partners or the partnership. [] (2) All members or the limited liability company." Plaintiffs' motion showed proof of service on the judgment debtor and on the limited liability company through personal service on its agent for service of process. (Fu Decl., Ex. G.)

The court no longer provides a court reporter in the Law & Motion or Discovery Department. Parties may retain their own reporter, who may appear in the courtroom or remotely. A retained reporter must be a California certified court reporter (CSR), for only a CSR's transcript may be used in California courts.
