ORDER RE: CASE MANAGEMENT

The Court has ordered the following at the conclusion of a judicially supervised Case Management Conference.

This is a Petition for Writ of Mandate. It appears that various forms of motion practice are anticipated.

Parties agreed to 11/19/26 for a hearing on the petition for writ of mandate. Parties to obtain reservation number from the clerk.

Parties agreed to the following briefing schedule, which the Court SO ORDERS:

Opening brief: 10/8/26 Opposition: 10/22/26 Reply: 11/5/26

Parties to meet and confer re preparation and lodging of the administrative record.

Physical courtesy copies of the moving papers, any opposition, reply, and any declarations/exhibits/etc. must be delivered to Department 20 at least 10 days before any hearing on a petition for writ of mandate or motion. Exhibits shall be tabbed with protruding tabs.

Case Management Conference is scheduled for 08/25/2026 at 03:00 PM in Department 20 at Rene C. Davidson Courthouse.

Updated Case Management Statements must be filed in compliance with Rule of Court 3.725. The Court encourages the parties to file a short joint CMC statement on pleading paper. If the parties wish the CMC to be vacated, they can so advise the Court in the joint CMC statement.

Unless ordered otherwise, remote appearances by Zoom (videoconference) are permitted for all law and motion, case management hearings, and pretrial hearings in Dept.

20. Trials are held in person unless all parties agree to be remote.

The Court orders counsel to obtain a copy of this order from the eCourt portal.
