Motions: 1. Defendant Airlink Internet, Incs Demurrer to the First Amended Complaint (unopposed) 2. Defendant Airlink Internet, Incs Motion to Strike to the First Amended Complaint (unopposed) Tentative Ruling:
Defendant Airlink Internet, Inc.s Demurrer to the First Amended Complaint is SUSTAINED without leave to amend. Alter ego liability allows a plaintiff to pierce the corporate veil to reach the assets of an individual, or less commonly, to conduct reverse veil piercing to allow a creditor to seize corporate assets to satisfy the debt of a judgment debtor. It is not a mechanism by which to hold a corporate defendant liable for the torts of an individual.
Defendant Airlink Internet, Inc.s Motion to Strike the First Amended Complaint is DENIED as moot.
Defendant to give notice.
