Background

On April 2, 2026, Plaintiff ALTERO, INC. ("Plaintiff") filed this unlawful detainer action against Defendants ADAM LUJAN GREENFIELD ("Defendant"); ALL UNKNOWN OCCUPANTS, TENANTS, and SUBTENANTS; and DOES 1 through 20, inclusive.

Discussion

On July 15, 2026, Defendant filed the instant motion to continue. Defendant's Motion states: "I Adam Greenfield come before the court and move for a continuance so that I may retain counsel for my corporation. The Supervising Clerk Vanessa stated that I cannot file my Prejudgment claim of right to possession pursuant to CCP 415.45 due to the fact that an attorney must be retained I need time to find a professional attorney and allocate resources due to the fact that I have been drained from my resources.\ [sic]" (Motion at p. 2.) Defendant has not identified what proceeding Defendant wishes to continue nor has Defendant identified a statutory basis authorizing continuance. Thus, the Court is unable to discern what relief Defendant is requesting and the motion is DENIED.
