Intervenor, Mercury Casualty Insurance Company’s, Motion for an Order Granting Leave to Intervene in Action for Defendant, Anakin Zuniga Hearing Date: August 7, 2026

By this Motion, Mercury Casualty Insurance seeks to intervene into this action on behalf of defendant Anakin Zuniga. The motion is based on the fact that Mercury has an interest in the case as the insurer for Defendant Anakin Zuniga’s employer, Scott & Cindy Yates dba Yates Property Maintenance, Mercury has been unable to located Defendant Anakin Zuniga despite diligence, and Mercury may be liable for an adverse outcome against Defendant Anakin Zuniga. No opposition to the motion was filed.

The Motion is GRANTED, and Mercury is to file its proposed Complaint in Intervention within 10 days. Mercury is to prepare the court’s order consistent with the tentative ruling.

NOTE RE: TENTATIVE RULING This tentative ruling becomes the court’s order, and no hearing shall be held unless one of the parties contests it by complying with Rule 3.1308 of the California Rules of Court and Monterey County Local Rule 7.9.
