(48) Tentative Ruling

Re: Lopez v. Neville Superior Court Case No. 25CECG05839

Hearing Date: July 14, 2026 (Dept. 502)

Motion: Petition to Compromise Minor’s Claim

Tentative Ruling:

To grant the petition to approve the compromised claim of minor Gabriella Lopez. (Code of Civil Proc., § 372; Probate Code, § 2504.) Petitioner is directed to file new proposed orders within five days of service of the order by the clerk. No appearances necessary.

To set a status conference for Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. in Department 502, for confirmation of deposit of the funds into a blocked account. If the Acknowledgment of Receipt of Order and Funds for Deposit in Blocked Account (MC- 356), is filed at least five court days before the hearing, the status conference will come off calendar.

If oral argument is timely requested, it will be entertained on Thursday, July 16 2026, at 3:30 p.m. in Department 502.

Explanation:

The spelling of minor’s name appears to be inconsistent. Corrected proposed orders (MC-351 and MC-355) are requested.

Pursuant to California Rules of Court, rule 3.1312(a), and Code of Civil Procedure section 1019.5, subdivision (a), no further written order is necessary. The minute order adopting this tentative ruling will serve as the order of the court and service by the clerk will constitute notice of the order.
