Procedural History 17 1) The parties in this matter are Petitioner County of San Francisco, Respondent Kennethan Baird 18 (Father), and Other Parent Bobbie Grayson (Mother).
The parties have one minor child, Kayla 19 (DOB: 5/17/2015, age 10). Both parties are self-represented. 20 2) On 5/12/2025, the Court entered a Findings and Order Regarding Contempt. The Court found 21 Father to be in contempt on various counts and sentenced Father to 50 hours of community 22 service, with the sentence suspended for a period of 8 months. The Court also ordered Father to 23 pay Mother $80 per month for 8 months (commencing 6/1/2025) regarding an unpaid and owed 24 amount of $637.04.
The Court further ordered Father to comply with all terms of the Court's 25 custody and visitation order filed 5/12/2025. The Court set a compliance review hearing for 26 2/3/2026, which was later continued to 3/17/2026 upon request for Mother. 27 3) On 3/9/2026, Mother filed a Declaration. Mother stated Father has paid no payments towards the 28 outstanding $637.04 due. Mother asked the Court to enforce this order and include the accrued 29
1 legal interest as previously ordered. Mother also described ways in which Father had not 2 complied with the prior orders regarding custody and visitation. 3 4) Per the Proof of Service filed 5/9/2026, Mother's Declaration was emailed to Father on 3/6/2026.
4 5) Father failed to appear at the prior 3/17/2026 hearing date, and so the hearing was continued to
5 4/7/2026. 6 6) At the 4/7/2026 hearing, Mother appeared and Father did not. The Court took the matter un der 7 submission and then issued the Findings and Order After Hearing filed 5/4/2026, wherein the 8 Court found that Father owes to Mother the full unpaid sum of $637.04 plus interest in the
9 amount of $300.05, for total principal and interest due of $937.09. The Court ordered Father to
10 pay this amount to Mother in full no later than 5/30/2026. The Court also lifted the suspension of 11 Father's sentence and ordered Father to complete 50 hours of community service no later than 12 8/30/2026. The Court set a future hearing date of 6/9/2026 for Father to explain which 13 community service provider he planned to perform community service for.

14 7) At the prior 6/9/2026 hearing, both Mother and Father appeared. Judge Chan issued the Findings
15 and Order After Hearing field 6/20/2026 which contains the following orders. Father shall pay 16 Mother $937.09. Upon proof that he has made the full payment, the Court will waive the 50 hours 17 of community service previously ordered. Judge Chan set a future hearing date of 7/9/2026 for 18 proof of compliance. Judge Chan noted that if Father has complied, his appearance at the
19 7/9/2026 hearing may be waived.
20 8) On 7/1/2026, Mother filed a declaration stating that Father has paid her the $937.09. However, 21 Mother details concerning allegations regarding Father’s failure to pick up Kayla for a visit on 22 6/12/2026 as well as Father becoming very angry and physically abusive with Kayla after she told 23 him she did not want to go with him for a visit on 6/26/2026. Mother writes, “Yes he has paid the
24 monies of $937.09 as of 6/26/2026 however no amount of money compensates the ongoing
25 emotional, mental, anguish our daughter endures.” 26 9) The Court notes that on 7/1/2026, Mother filed an ex parte Request for Order seeking custody and 27 visitation orders. 28
1 B. Findings and Order 2 1) The Court finds that Father has complied with its prior order requiring him to pay Mother 3 $937.09. The Court makes no further orders regarding this issue and the Court hereby waives the
4 50 hours of community service previously ordered.
5 2) Regarding Mother’s allegations and requests related to custody and visitation, the Court will 6 address these concerns at the upcoming hearing on 9/15/2026. 7 3) The Court will prepare the Findings and Order After Hearing. 8
