View on sourceIf all debts and obligations of the district have been paid and discharged, a district may dissolve voluntarily by the same vote and in the same manner provided in this chapter for the organization of districts. The election shall be held in the manner provided in this chapter for holding elections in the district. Acts 1971, 62nd Leg., p. 496, ch. 58, Sec. 1, eff. Aug. 30, 1971. Sec. 55.804. DISSOLUTION USING PROCEDURE FOR ABOLITION OF DISTRICTS IN CHAPTER 56. A district may dissolve voluntarily in the manner provided for the dissolution of districts in Chapter 56 of this code, and the provisions in that chapter shall control the abolition of the district and the legal consequences of abolition.
