View on source(a)When a project is proposed for planning or development by the board, the Corps of Engineers of the United States Army, or the Bureau of Reclamation of the United States Department of the Interior, any political subdivision may apply to the executive director for designation as the cooperating local sponsor of the project.
(b)In the application the applicant shall:
(1)describe the purposes of the project;
(2)state the reasons for the application, the contemplated use of water the applicant might derive from the project if a permit for the use is subsequently granted by the commission; and
(3)cite the contributions the applicant is prepared to make to the planning or development of the project.
(c)No application for designation as a local sponsor shall cover more than one proposed project.
