An electric cooperative may generate, acquire, and accumulate electric energy and transmit, distribute, sell, furnish, and dispose of that electric energy to any of the following that is engaged in the generation, transmission, or distribution of electricity:
(1)a corporation, association, or firm;
(2)the United States;
(3)this state or a political subdivision of this state; or
(4)a municipal power agency or political subdivision of this state that is a co-owner with the electric cooperative of an electric generation facility.
