§ 548.008 — VEHICLE INSPECTION PROGRAM DIRECTOR

(a)The vehicle inspection program is managed by a program director. The program director may not be a commissioned officer.

(b)The office of the vehicle inspection program director must be located in Austin, Texas.

(c)The duties of the program director include:

(1)responsibility for the quality of the vehicle inspection program;

(2)coordination of the regional offices;

(3)compilation of regional and statewide performance data;
