View on source(a)A driver's license is automatically revoked if the holder of the license:
(1)is subject to the registration requirements of Chapter 62 or 65, Code of Criminal Procedure; and
(2)fails to apply to the department for renewal of the license as required by Article 62.060, 62.2021, or 65.058, Code of Criminal Procedure, as applicable.
(b)The department may issue a driver's license to a person whose license is revoked under this section only if the person:
(1)applies for an original or renewal license under Section 521.272; and
