(a)The provisions of Subchapter D that relate to the notice and conduct of an election under that subchapter apply to an election to dissolve a transit department unless a different requirement is specified in this subchapter.

(b)The board shall send a notice of the election to the Texas Department of Transportation and the comptroller.
