(a)A person is not qualified for appointment or election as a director unless the person:
(1)is a district resident; and
(2)is at least 18 years of age at the time of the appointment or election.
(b)A person may not be appointed as a director for a commissioners precinct unless at the time of appointment the person is a resident of that commissioners precinct. Added by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.02, eff. April 1, 2009. Amended by:
