(a)If a majority of the votes in both elections under Sections 1004.174(a)(1) and (2) favor dissolution of the district and creation of the Runnels County Hospital District, and a cumulative majority of the votes in all three elections held on the question of creating the Runnels County Hospital District favor creation of the district, the board shall transfer the land, buildings, improvements, equipment, and other assets belonging to the district to the Runnels County Hospital District.
(b)On the date the district makes the transfer under Subsection (a), the Runnels County Hospital District assumes all debts and obligations of the district at the time of the transfer. The district is dissolved at the time of the transfer and the board is released from any further duty or obligation.
