(a)Each application for an original or renewal certificate of number for a vessel shall be accompanied by a two-year fee determined by the following classification schedule or determined in the same classifications by the commission, whichever amount is more: Class Description of VesselFeeClass Aless than 16 feet in length$12Class 116 feet or over and less than 26 feet in length$18Class 226 feet or over and less than 40 feet in length$24Class 340 feet or more in length$30(b) The fee for a vessel less than 16 feet in length owned by a vessel livery and used for rental purposes is $6 for each original and renewal application for a certificate of number or an amount set by the commission, whichever amount is more.
(c)Owners of newly purchased vessels or other vessels not previously operated in this state shall pay the full registration fee. Acts 1975, 64th Leg., p. 1405, ch. 545, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1975.
