(a)The commission shall regulate crematory services as provided by this chapter and Chapter 716, Health and Safety Code.

(b)The commission may not regulate crematory services that occur after burial or inurnment unless the services relate to the care and treatment of the remains in an urn, casket, or outer enclosure. Added by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 562, Sec. 4, eff. Sept. 1, 2003. Amended by:
