(a)The board may lease or purchase vehicles for use in official board business.

(b)A vehicle acquired under Subsection (a) is exempt from a requirement to bear state government identification.

(c)The board may register a vehicle with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles in an alias name only for investigative personnel. Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1999. Amended by:
