(a)The department shall issue a temporary training permit to a person who:

(1)possesses the qualifications required under Section 402.203(a);

(2)submits a written application on a form prescribed by the department furnishing documentation that the applicant satisfies the requirements of Subdivision (1); and

(3)pays any required fee.

(b)The commission by rule may provide for the issuance of a new temporary training permit under this section after a person's temporary training permit expires. Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1999. Amended by:
