(a)A person required by this subchapter to hold a renewal certificate may not practice optometry or therapeutic optometry without the certificate.

(b)A violation of this section has the same effect as, and is subject to the penalties for, practicing optometry or therapeutic optometry without holding a license as required by Subchapter F. Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1999. Amended by:
