View on source(a)The board shall issue permits to administer anesthesia in the following categories based on the extent to which the intended procedure will alter the patient's mental status and the method of anesthetic delivery:
(1)nitrous oxide;
(2)level 1: minimal sedation;
(3)level 2: moderate sedation (enteral administration);
(4)level 3: moderate sedation (parenteral administration); and
(5)level 4: deep sedation or general anesthesia.
