(a)A person commits an offense if the person professes to be a podiatrist or practices or assumes the duties incident to the practice of podiatry without holding a license to practice podiatry.
(b)An offense under this section is punishable by:
(1)a fine of not less than $50 or more than $500;
(2)confinement in the county jail for not less than 30 days or more than six months; or
(3)both the fine and confinement.
