View on sourceThe attorney general, any county attorney, district attorney, or criminal district attorney of the state shall file in a district court in the county in which the conduct takes place, a suit seeking temporary or permanent court orders or injunctions to prohibit any excavating, taking, removing, or carrying away of any sand, marl, gravel, or shell from land located on an exposed island or peninsula bordering on the Gulf of Mexico or from land located within 1,500 feet of a public beach of this state if the land is located outside the boundaries of an incorporated city, town, or village in violation of the provisions of this subchapter.
