§ 134.007 — CONFLICT OF INTEREST; OFFENSE

NR § 134.007Title 4. MINES AND MINING · Ch. 134. TEXAS SURFACE COAL MINING AND RECLAMATION ACT · Art. A. GENERAL PROVISIONS

(a)An employee of the commission commits an offense if the employee knowingly:

(1)performs a function or duty under this chapter; and

(2)has a direct or indirect financial interest in an underground or surface coal mining operation.

(b)An offense under this section is punishable by:

(1)a fine of not more than $2,500;

(2)imprisonment for not more than one year; or
