The member of the council selected as the governor's alternate under Section (a), Article V of the Interstate Mining Compact serves as chairman of the council. Added by Acts 1983, 68th Leg., p. 2913, ch. 495, Sec. 1, eff. Aug. 29, 1983. Repealed by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 15 (S.B. 1147), Sec. 2(3).
