View on sourceA member of the commission is a county officer described by Section 87.012(15) and may be removed as provided by Chapter 87 if, after a trial, the jury finds good cause for removal, including:
(1)failure to pay local, state, or federal taxes when due;
(2)violation of the ethics code adopted by the commission;
(3)conviction of a felony or misdemeanor;
(4)excessive absenteeism as determined by the commission; and
(5)official misconduct.
