§ 140.004 — BUDGETS OF CERTAIN JUVENILE BOARDS

(a)This section applies only to a juvenile board, juvenile probation office, or juvenile department established for one or more counties.

(b)Before the 45th day before the first day of the fiscal year of a county, a juvenile board that has jurisdiction in the county shall:

(1)prepare a budget for the board's next fiscal year; and

(2)hold a meeting to finalize the budget.

(c)Before the 14th day before the juvenile board has a meeting to finalize its budget, the board shall file with the commissioners court:

(1)a copy of the proposed budget; and
