View on source(a)A person commits an offense if the person executes or causes to be executed a statement, report, or other document required by law to be filed with the commissioner that contains a material statement or fact that the person knows to be false.
(b)A person commits an offense if the person is an officer of an insurance company that is not organized under the laws of this state and the person files a statement, report, or other document required by law to be filed with the commissioner that contains a material statement or fact that the person knows to be false.
(c)An offense under this section is punishable by imprisonment in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for a term of not less than one year. Added by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1419, Sec. 1, eff. June 1, 2003. Amended by:
