After a court enters an order of receivership with respect to an impaired or insolvent insurer, a premium due for coverage issued by the insurer is owned by and is payable at the direction of the association. The association is liable for an unearned premium owed to a policy or contract owner that arises after the court enters the order. Added by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 727 (H.B. 2017), Sec. 1, eff.
