(a)This chapter does not apply to:
(1)a medical facility licensed under other law;
(2)an office or clinic of a person licensed by the Texas Medical Board;
(3)a person who performs only ear piercing; or
(4)a facility in which only ear piercing is performed.
(b)A person who conducts, operates, or maintains a facility, office, or clinic described by Subsection (a)(1), (2), or (4) is not required to obtain a license under this chapter to operate that facility. Added by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 516, Sec. 3, eff. Sept. 1, 1999. Amended by:
