(a)Notwithstanding other law and except as provided by Subsection (b), the term of each license issued by the department, or by a regulatory board or other agency that is under the jurisdiction of the department or administratively attached to the department, is two years. The department, regulatory board, or agency may provide for staggering the issuance and renewal of licenses.
(b)This section does not apply to:
(1)a license issued for a youth camp under Chapter 141;
(2)a food manager certificate issued under Subchapter G, Chapter 438; or
