(a)Members of the council serve for staggered six-year terms, with the terms of three members expiring February 1 of each odd-numbered year.

(b)A member of the council may not serve more than two consecutive full terms as a council member.

(c)A vacancy on the council shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment. Added by Acts 2017, 85th Leg., R.S., Ch. 316 (H.B. 5), Sec. 29, eff. September 1, 2017.
