(a)The department may notify the attorney general of a violation of this chapter.

(b)The attorney general shall institute suit in the name of this state against a person who violates this chapter in a district court in Travis County or the county in which the violation occurred. Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1008, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1997. Amended by:
