(a)The department may require a permit holder that has outstanding contracts for prepaid funeral benefits to submit an annual report in the form required by rule of the commission.

(b)The department shall require a seller that discontinues the sale of prepaid funeral benefits but has outstanding contracts to submit an annual report until the contracts are fully discharged. Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1008, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1997. Amended by:
