View on source(a)At the conclusion of a Title IV-D case, the court may assess reasonable and necessary attorney's fees, court costs, and expenses as authorized by law against the nonprevailing party, except that the court may not assess those amounts against the Title IV-D agency or a private attorney or political subdivision that has entered into a contract under this chapter or any party to whom the agency has provided services under this chapter.
(b)The clerk of the court may take any action necessary to collect any fees, costs, or expenses assessed under this section. Added by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 20, Sec. 1, eff. April 20, 1995. Amended by:
