(1)"Admission, review, and dismissal committee" means the committee required by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (20 U.S.C. Section 1400 et seq.) for any student needing special education.
(2)"American Sign Language" means a complete, visual, and manual language with its own grammar and syntax.
(3)"English" includes writing, reading, speech, speech reading, cued speech, and any English-based manual-visual method of communication.
(4)"Unique communication mode" or "appropriate language mode" includes English and American Sign Language. Added by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 260, Sec. 1, eff. May 30, 1995. Amended by:
