(a)A school district shall provide in employment contracts that qualifying employees may receive an incentive payment under an awards program established under Subchapter O if the district participates in the program.

(b)The district shall indicate that any incentive payment distributed is considered a payment for performance and not an entitlement as part of an employee's salary. Added by Acts 2006, 79th Leg., 3rd C.S., Ch. 5 (H.B. 1), Sec. 4.06, eff. May 31, 2006. Amended by:
