In this chapter, "family violence," "family," "household," and "member of a household" have the meanings assigned by Chapter 71, Family Code. Added by Acts 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 583, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1985. Amended by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1276, Sec. 7.002(c), eff. Sept. 1, 2003. Repealed by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 202 (H.B. 1610), Sec. 3.01, eff. April 1, 2027.
