View on sourceIf a defendant is adjudged guilty after entering a plea of guilty or nolo contendere for an offense listed in Article 42A.054(a) punishable as a felony of the second degree or any higher category of offense and for which the defendant is not eligible for community supervision under Article 42A.055 as provided by Article 42A.056, the court shall order that the defendant be taken into custody and confined until the defendant is sentenced.
