View on source(a)A defendant convicted of an offense under Section 28.08, Penal Code, in a municipal court, justice court, county court, county court at law, or district court shall pay a fine of $50 for juvenile delinquency prevention and graffiti eradication.
(b)In this article, a person is considered convicted if:
(1)a sentence is imposed on the person;
(2)the person receives community supervision, including deferred adjudication; or
(3)the court defers final disposition of the person's case.
(c)The clerks of the respective courts shall collect the fines and pay the fines to the county treasurer, municipal treasurer, or to any other official who discharges the duties commonly delegated to the county or municipal treasurer for deposit in a fund to be known as the county juvenile delinquency prevention fund or municipal juvenile delinquency prevention fund.
