The Legislature shall not fix the salary of the Governor, Attorney General, Comptroller of Public Accounts, Commissioner of the General Land Office or Secretary of State at a sum less than that fixed for such officials in the Constitution on January 1, 1953. (Added Nov. 2, 1954; amended Nov. 7, 1995, and Nov. 4, 1997.)
