An action taken under this chapter does not prohibit a consumer from taking any other action authorized by law except that a credit reporting agency may not be subject to suit with respect to any issue that was the subject of an arbitration proceeding brought under Section 20.08. Added by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1396, Sec. 33(a), eff. Oct. 1, 1997. Assigned by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 64 (S.B. 60), Sec. 5, eff. January 1, 2014.
