View on sourceThe department shall investigate the diseases of crops grown in this state, including grain, cotton, and fruit, to discover remedies. The department shall also investigate the habits and propagation of insects that are injurious to the crops of the state and the best methods for their destruction. The department shall supervise the protection of fruit trees, shrubs, and plants as provided by law.
