9-461.03. Planning department A. The legislative body of any municipality may establish a planning department. The officers and employees that the legislative body deems necessary for the department shall be appointed by the appointing authority of the municipality. B. The appointing authority of each municipality may appoint a director of planning. C. The legislative body of any municipality may employ or contract with consultants for such services as it requires.
