6-813. License of agent; nontransferable; posting A. A person, except those exempt under section 6-811, shall not engage in or carry on, or hold himself out as engaging in or carrying on, the escrow business or act in the capacity of an escrow agent in this state without first obtaining a license. B. An escrow agent's license is not transferable or assignable and control of a license shall not be acquired through stock purchase or other devices without the prior written consent of the deputy director. C. A license shall be kept conspicuously posted in all licensed places of business of the licensee.
