5-403.01. License location transfers A licensee shall not transfer the location for which a license is issued unless the governing body of the city or town or the board of supervisors of the county to which the license is proposed to be transferred gives prior written approval after a public hearing. The licensee shall transmit the approval document from the local governing body and its existing license to the licensing authority, and, upon a determination that the transfer would not result in a violation of any provision of this article, the licensing authority shall issue a new license identifying the new location. The transfer is not effective until the new license is issued. Temporary transfers of location are prohibited.
