11-598. Exhumation; court order If in any case of sudden, violent or suspicious death a body is buried without any inquiries by the county medical examiner or alternate medical examiner, the county attorney of the county in which the body is buried may petition the superior court for an order directing that the body be exhumed and an autopsy be performed. The court after a hearing may order that the body be exhumed and that an autopsy or such other investigation as the court deems appropriate be performed.
